December 20, 2014 – A new report by Motoring.com claims that Nissan is developing a new small sports car, based on the Nissan IDx concept, to rival the Toyota GT86/Subaru BRZ twins.
The rear-wheel drive sports car will bring back the “Silvia” moniker and feature styling similar to the Nissan Sports Sedan Concept. Engine options will include a supercharged 1.2 liter and a turbocharged 1.6 liter power unit, with power output in the latter reaching around 200 horsepower.

According to other sources, new information regarding the next-generation Nissan Silvia is expected when the Japanese manufacturer reveals a revised Nissan IDx concept at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show in October 29.
