February 25, 2015 – Aston Martin has revealed today its all-new track-only supercar and the British luxury brand’s most intense and exhilarating creation to date – the Vulcan.
The Vulcan – limited to just 24 examples worldwide – is born out of Aston Martin’s extensive motorsport experience and it promises extreme performance thanks to its powerful 800+ horsepower engine and all-carbon fibre body.
Styled entirely in-house by the Aston Martin design, and with a design language hinting at the next generation of Aston Martin sports cars, the supercar is powered by the most potent iteration yet of the company’s naturally-aspirated, 7.0-litre V12 petrol engine; drive is transferred to the rear wheels through a rear mid-mounted six-speed sequential shift gearbox.
The car features a carbon fibre monocoque and body, integral limited-slip differential, magnesium torque tube with carbon fibre propeller shaft and Brembo racing calipers acting on carbon ceramic racing disc brakes.
The Aston Martin Vulcan will be offered to buyers through Aston Martin’s VIP sales programme.
