May 18, 2015 – Chevrolet has finally taken the wraps off the sixth generation Camaro sports car in Detroit.
Featuring an evolutionary design, the new Camaro is smaller than the previous generation and more than 90 kilograms lighter thanks to a more extensive use of aluminum. Inside, the muscle car gets a completely new interior with more upscale materials.
Three engines are offered, including a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder producing 275 horsepower and an all-new 3.6-liter V6 with 335 horsepower, in addition to a 6.2-liter V8, producing 455 horsepower and 617 Nm of torque for the Camaro SS. Each engine is available with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission.
The new Camaro will be sold as a 2016 model year but there is no word on the production date.
