May 25, 2015 – Lebanese rally driver Nicolas Amiouni endured a difficult week in Rally Portugal, the fifth round of the 2015 World Rally Championship and the first round of the DMACK Fiesta Trophy, but fought on to cross the finish line.
Amiouni and co-driver Joseph Matar had a positive first day on Friday, managing their pace and successfully finishing the day with no reported issues, but trouble struck on Saturday when the Ford Fiesta R2’s driveshaft broke, which put them out of the rally. However, the pair rejoined on the final day and were eventually able to finish the event.
Nicolas Amiouni’s next DMACK Fiesta Trophy participation will take place in Poland, which is the seventh round of the WRC and is scheduled on July 2-5.
The Drive DMACK Fiesta Trophy is a joint initiative between tyre manufacturer DMACK and the M-Sport rally team, to help provide a cost-effective platform for young drivers to experience the FIA World Rally Championship.
