Abdo Feghali triumphs in first Speed Test of 2015

June 21, 2015 – Abdo Feghali resumed his dominance in the Lebanese Speed Test Championship as he triumphed in the first round of the 2015 season that took place in Warde, Kfardebian today.

Driving a Mitsubishi Evo IX, Feghali was comfortable from the outset, clocking 1:52.30 in the first heat, which was 3 seconds faster than anyone else, before bettering his time in the second run (1:51.49) to claim what looked like an easy win.

Carlos Chamoun (Evo IX) was Feghali’s closest pursuer, finishing second after clocking 1:53.57 in his second try, while Paul Kossaifi (Evo IX) settled for third overall with a time of 1:54.37.

Shady Akl took the Super Series class win in his Evo VII amid close competition with Xavier Massaad and Elie Ghanem who finished second and third in the class respectively.

The Amateur cup class went to Renault Clio RS driver Charbel Ghanem, followed by Chadi Abou Assi (Volkswagen Golf) and Joudy Feghali (Clio RS).

Richard Ibrahim won the front-wheel drive class in his Renault Clio Williams, and Elie Hage took the rear-wheel drive class win in his BMW M3.
