September 22, 2015 – Young Lebanese rally driver Rodolphe Asmar has revealed his motorsport plans for 2016.
Asmar, who made his rallying debut in the 2015 Spring Rally and contested the full Lebanese Rally Championship and Lebanese Hill Climb Championship this year with Kazan Performance Tuning, is making a switch to Motortune Racing for next year.
His 2016 program with Motortune includes a full season in the Lebanese Rally Championship and Lebanese Hill Climb Championship onboard a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, which he will also drive in four rounds of the Middle East Rally Championship, including Rally of Lebanon.
Additionally, the 19-year-old will be travelling to Europe where he will compete in three different rallies in a Motortune-prepped Citroen DS3 R3.
Rodolphe’s debut season was very impressive; he showed competitive pace throughout the year, managing a podium position in the 2015 Jezzine Rally after finishing third in Group N in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX, against much more experienced drivers.
