December 14, 2015 – Motorsport Magazine pits the highly capable Audi R8 V10 Plus against two cars from the same family, Mercedes AMG’s GT S and C63 S, which share the same twin-turbo V8.
The 5.2-liter V10 engine in the Audi R8 can produce 610 horsepower, whilst the twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 in the GT S and C63 S is good for 510 horsepower. Moreover, the two Mercedes are driven by the rear wheels, whereas the Audi benefits from quattro all-wheel drive, and it’s also lighter than the two Mercs.
On paper, the Audi looks like the best car to have in a drag race out of the three, but can it translate its advantage on paper to the real world? Find out in the video below.
