December 18, 2015 – The FIA-approved calendar for the 2016 Middle East Rally Championship has been published, revealing minor changes compared to the 2015 schedule.
Last year’s championship comprised eight rounds, but the number has dropped to seven in 2016 as the Shiraz International Rally lost its spot on the calendar, while Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon, Cyprus, Oman and Dubai remain.
The season starts with the Qatar International Rally on the 4th of February 2016 and it comes to an end in Dubai on the 19th of November. Rally of Lebanon will be the championship’s midpoint on September 2-4.
