Watch a 800hp Porsche set a new record in Pikes Peak Hill Climb

December 22, 2015 – The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is one of the scariest racing events on the planet, with race cars going up a 20-kilometer twisty road that is 4200 meters above sea level. Several racers, especially bikers, have died at the event, which lead to a recent ban on sportbikes.

However, this isn’t a story about loss, it’s a story about triumph; 60-year-old Jeff Zwart became the 13th driver to break the 10-minute barrier in Pikes Peak, clocking 9 minutes 46.2 seconds onboard his 800hp Porsche 911 GT3 Turbo Cup, and GoPro was kind enough to provide us with the awesome footage.
