February 23, 2016 – Lamborghini has named Stefano Domenicali its new president and chief executive officer (CEO), the Italian sports car manufacturer revealed via a statement today.
Domenicali, who has been vice president of new business initiatives at Audi since November 2014, will succeed Stephan Winkelmann, who’s leaving Lamborghini to take the helm at Audi’s performance car division quattro GmbH.
Before joining Audi, the 50-year-old Domenicali was Ferrari’s Formula 1 team principal between January 2008 and April 2014.
