March 29, 2016 – Britain’s Autocar recently organized a drag race that involves three very different types of vehicles.
A Citroen DS3 that competes in the World Rallycross Championship (590 horsepower, 1100 kilograms), up against an Ariel Atom 3.5R road car (240 horsepower, 520 kilograms) and a Yamaha YZF R1 (128 horsepower, 177 kilograms).
The Citroen might be the most powerful, but it’s also the heaviest. However, it benefits from all-wheel drive, which gives it a big traction advantage over the other two. Find out the result in the video (skip to 3:50 for the race).
