April 14, 2016 – In a 5-year-old Top Gear episode (Season 17), Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond buy second-hand Germany luxury cars that cost as much as a brand new Suzuki Celerio (Nissan Pixo in the UK) and test them out to find out which one is better.
Clarkson’s choice was a 2002 Mercedes-Benz CL600, while Hammond bought a 1994 BMW 850Ci. The two luxury cars are rear-wheel drive and powered by a V12 engine, but the Mercedes is more powerful with 367 hp/530 Nm compared to the BMW’s 326 hp/490 Nm.
The two cars compete in a drag race, and fortunately, we managed to find a video of the head-to-head.
