May 11, 2016 – In 1989, Mercedes-Benz introduced the 190E Evolution, a road-going version of the 190E DTM racecar. Two years later, they revealed the Evolution II with added power.
Only 500 Evolution models were built, of which one has been recently put up for sale in the US. It’s a 1991 Evolution II that has just 17,500 kilometers on the odometer, and it’s number 375 of 500.
The street-legal race car is powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 230 horsepower, and it’s being sold on ebay for a hefty 279,000 USD.
