May 14, 2016 – Lewis Hamilton secured his third pole position of the season after setting the quickest lap in Qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix, beating his team-mate Nico Rosberg by 0.280s. However, the biggest surprise was the two Red Bulls of Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen finishing third and fourth respectively, ahead of the two Ferraris.
