May 19, 2016 – Lebanese drifter Bahaa Abdel Hadi will take on the 2016 Lebanese Drift Championship in a BMW 3 Series (E36) powered by a 2JZ engine from the legendary Toyota Supra.
Abdel Hadi’s 3 Series was equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 engine (M60) from a BMW E34 540i, but Bahaa and his brother Hadi, who will be sitting out the season, decided to make the switch to a stock twin-turbo 2JZ engine due to budget constraints and the fact that the 2JZ can yield more power at a lower cost.
In 2015, Abdel Hadi brothers showed great potential despite the lack of budget, with Hadi finishing 4th in the final round of the season; this year, Bahaa’s aim is to reach the podium with backing from ICC Group.
