June 13, 2016 – The 2016 edition of Peking to Paris Motor Challenge officially kicked off yesterday from the Great Wall of China, with 115 cars competing across four different categories taking the start.
Lebanon’s Charbel Habib and Walid Samaha, the only Middle Eastern team in the event, will use a Porsche 356C to travel a course which encompasses the most adventurous region of Mongolia, after their start point in the Chinese capital. They will then cross into Russia and on to the Republic of Belarus, before taking an exciting new route across Europe with closed-road mountain climbs into the Alps, with a finale at Place Vendome, Paris.
Peking to Paris Motor Challenge comes to an end on July 17 after teams cross a total distance of 13,695 kilometers.
