Cedars Rally 2016 – Final Results

July 10, 2016 – Abdo Feghali secured his second victory in the 2016 Lebanese Rally Championship after a commanding drive at the 25th Cedars Rally today.

Feghali won 11 of the 12 special stages alongside co-driver Marc Haddad in the Ford Fiesta R5 to finish comfortably ahead of his brother Roger Feghali, who settled for second place overall and first in Group N.

Eddy Abou Karam rounded out the top 3 after a very tight battle with Rodolphe Asmar and Rabih Ayoub for 2nd place in Group N. Ayoub completed the event in 4th place overall and 3rd in Group N while Asmar retired on the very last stage.

The RC3 class was a four-way fight between Bassel Abou Hamdan, Henry Massaad, Robert Aaraj and Rony Kanaan, but Massaad and Aaraj retired with mechanical gremlins, allowing Kanaan to take the win, while Abou Hamdan finished second and Patrick Njeim, who snatched the RC4 class win, finished a fine 3rd in front-wheel drive.

The event proved quite difficult, with 11 cars out of 22 reaching the finish line in the end.
