2016 Lebanese Hill Climb Championship Standings after Round 2

August 5, 2016 – With the third and final round of the 2016 Lebanese Hill Climb Championship occurring in Baabdat this coming Sunday, let’s take a look at the championship standings after the two rounds in Arsoun and Bkassine.

Roger Feghali leads after two victories in two rounds, with Jawad Slim not very far off behind as the pair are separated by 6 points. Roger can secure the title by finishing anywhere in the top 3, regardless of where Jawad finishes.

In Group N, things are a lot tighter, with Rodolphe Asmar and Eddy Abou Karam tied on points. Naturally, whoever finishes ahead of the other clinches the title.

Baabdat Hill Climb will also decide the rear-wheel drive title battle between Garo Haroutiounian and Paul Kossaifi, with the former going into the event holding a 5-point advantage, whilst a similar scrap appears in the front-wheel drive class between Bassel Abou Hamdan and Patrick Njeim; Bassel has just 1 point more than Patrick.

Mathematically, numerous other drivers (Michel Slaiby or Michel Zgheib for example) are still competing for the title in their categories, but they’re gonna need Lady Luck on their sides to be able to pull it off.
