December 20, 2016 – An unknown photographer has been attempting to sell a photo he took of stricken Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher at his home in Switzerland for 1.7 million US dollars.
An investigation has been launched in Germany after media outlets were reportedly offered what is claimed to be the first photograph of Michael Schumacher since his life-changing skiing accident.
The incident is an alleged violation of Schumacher’s privacy after the picture was reportedly taken and smuggled out of the German’s home in Switzerland, where he continues his recovery.
Schumacher, 47, sustained severe head injuries in a skiing accident in France on December 29, 2013 and has been cared for at his home in Switzerland since September 2014.
