February 8, 2017 – The Renault Kangoo is a light commercial vehicle that produces 95 horsepower in its most powerful form. However, two Swedish brothers decided to solve the issue of lack of power by swapping the 1.5-liter diesel engine with a 3.0-liter Mercedes-Benz inline-six diesel engine.
It wasn’t just a swap job though, as they also installed a Holset HX40 turbocharger and Eaton M90 supercharger which increased power output to somewhere between 400 and 500 horsepower. Behind the engine is an automatic transmission and Volvo 940 rear end.
The Mercedes-powered Kangoo will be driven at Speed Weekend in Sweden on February 24-25. You can watch it top speed testing and drifting in the video below.
