August 19, 2017 – Reigning Lebanese Rally Champion Tamer Ghandour will be defending his Rally of Lebanon title by competing in this year’s edition of the event.
Ghandour, who won the 39th Rally of Lebanon last year onboard his Mitsubishi Evo X R4 with Motortune Racing, will drive the same car for the same team alongside co-driver Salim Jleilaty.
Claiming a second consecutive victory is not going to be an easy task for Ghandour, who stated: “We’re pushing way to hard now as we’re competing against quicker R5 cars, which is putting a lot of stress on our car.”
He added: “We hope we can finish on the podium in the 40th Rally of Lebanon, but it’s going to be difficult considering there are six R5-spec cars competing in the event.”
The 40th Rally of Lebanon is the fourth and final round of the Lebanese Rally Championship and the fourth round of the Middle East Rally Championship. It’s happening on August 25, 26 and 27.
