Rally of Lebanon 2017 attracts 4 Arab crews

August 23, 2017 – As the fourth round of the Middle East Rally Championship, the 40th edition of Rally of Lebanon has attracted 4 Arab crews this year, spearheaded by Qatar’s Nasser Al-Attiyah.

Al-Attiyah will race a Ford Fiesta R5 alongside co-driver Matthieu Baumel and will be seeking his first ever Rally of Lebanon victory – a target that will be difficult to achieve as he’s up against the Feghali brothers.

Kuwait will be represented by 2 crews: Mshari Al Thefiri/Chady Nasr in a Mitsubishi Evo IX and Lebanese-born Elie Chachati who’s racing under the Kuwaiti nationality alongside Naji Sfeir in a Subaru Impreza WRX STI. It is worth mentioning that Al Thefiri previously competed in the Spring Rally and Cedars Rally and reached the finish line in both events.

Assem Aref and Musa Djiyerian will make up the sole Jordanian team; the pair will compete in the front-wheel drive/RC3 category in a Renault Clio.
