Mercedes-Maybach has taken luxury to new heights with the unveiling of the SL Monogram Series, an opulent upgrade to Mercedes’ iconic two-seat roadster.
The SL Monogram Series debuts with two distinct “ambiences”—a step above mere colors or themes. These models are adorned with exclusive Maybach details, including custom-designed wheels, a signature Maybach hood ornament, and a distinctive grille. The interior also showcases unique graphics tailored to the Maybach aesthetic.
At the rear, the Monogram models feature sculpted double-scoop elements behind the headrests, a nod to the classic roadster designs of yesteryear.
One of the standout models, the Red Ambience, boasts a striking two-tone paint job in Obsidian Black and Mercedes Manufaktur Garnet Red. According to Maybach, this color combination is meant to evoke “sensuality, beauty, and lightness.”
Both versions of the SL Monogram are designated as SL 680, offering a more refined specification compared to the AMG variants but still packing a punch with the AMG 63’s V8 engine. With 577bhp under the hood, this luxurious roadster accelerates from 0 to 62mph in just 4.1 seconds.
Maybach’s influence within the Mercedes brand is steadily growing, with a broader lineup of Maybach-branded models than seen in the past two decades.
The SL Monogram Series is set to launch in Europe in 2025, catering to a select few who seek unmatched luxury and have the means to afford it.
