2025 Audi Q6 and SQ6 e-tron Sportback Debut Stylish Coupe Design

The 2025 Audi Q6 and SQ6 e-tron Sportback feature a sleek, coupe-like roofline, enhancing the electric SUVs’ style and performance.

The 2025 Audi Q6 and SQ6 e-tron are getting a stylish makeover with the introduction of the new Sportback versions, featuring a sleek, coupe-like roofline. This trend of “coupe SUVs” has gained popularity in the luxury crossover segment, especially with electric vehicles, as the sloping roofline can improve aerodynamics and slightly extend the vehicle’s range. After the successful launch of the compact Q6 e-tron earlier this year, and given Audi’s history of offering fastback designs on the Q4 and Q8 e-tron models, it’s no surprise the Q6 e-tron Sportback will be arriving in the U.S. next year.

Sleek Redesign for the Q6 and SQ6

The main design updates for the Q6 e-tron Sportback occur above the shoulder line, where the roof is lowered by 1.4 inches and slopes down towards the rear, creating a more dynamic silhouette. This new shape leads to a small lip spoiler integrated with the rear brake light. Other than these changes, the rear end remains similar to the standard Q6 e-tron, featuring a full-width light bar and a solid rear bumper. Inside, the cabin mirrors that of the non-Sportback models, but with slightly reduced cargo space. It comes with a 11.9-inch digital gauge cluster, a 14.5-inch central touchscreen, and an optional 10.9-inch display for the front passenger.

The Sportback models maintain the same battery and powertrain as their standard counterparts, built on the Volkswagen Group’s new PPE platform shared with the Porsche Macan EV. Equipped with a 94.4-kWh battery, the Sportback is expected to deliver a similar range to the standard Q6 e-tron, with Audi projecting around 300 miles per charge. Its 800-volt architecture supports DC fast-charging at speeds up to 270 kW, allowing the battery to recharge from 10% to 80% in about 21 minutes.

Both the Q6 and SQ6 e-tron Sportback will be offered only with all-wheel drive. The Q6 e-tron Sportback features a dual-motor setup producing up to 456 horsepower and reaching a top speed of 130 mph. For those seeking more power, the SQ6 e-tron Sportback delivers a peak of 509 horsepower and a higher top speed of 143 mph. Full performance specs will be revealed as the official release date approaches.
