2026 Lexus RZ EV: Enhanced Range, Power, and New F-Sport Trim

The 2026 Lexus RZ EV is getting an exciting update, featuring a larger battery, more efficient systems, and a sporty new F-Sport trim. Lexus’ first fully electric vehicle, launched in 2023, initially offered only an all-wheel-drive configuration. However, a front-wheel-drive version was later introduced to provide more range. Now, the 2026 RZ brings even more enhancements, including improved range and a top-of-the-line F Sport model. The update is launching first in Europe, with availability in the U.S. expected by the end of 2025.

The new RZ F Sport model stands out with Lexus’ Direct4 dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup, producing 408 horsepower. It also introduces the option to simulate gear shifts with an eight-speed range, using paddles behind the steering wheel. This system adapts torque and power based on driver inputs, offering a more traditional driving experience. Additionally, the F Sport now features lightweight 20-inch wheels, a two-tone color scheme, and a special metallic grey paint.

Across the entire RZ lineup, there’s a new 77 kWh battery with improved chemistry, offering greater efficiency and a range boost of up to 60 miles. The redesigned Lexus e-axle and water-cooling system also enhance battery and motor performance. The all-wheel-drive trims can now tow over 3,300 pounds, doubling the old model’s capacity. A new 22 kW onboard charger speeds up recharging, while noise and vibration reductions enhance cabin comfort.
