2026 Honda CR-V TrailSport Hybrid Gets Rugged Look

CR-V TrailSport Hybrid returns with limited off-road gear
Honda expands its TrailSport trim to the 2026 CR-V Hybrid, offering rugged styling without substantial off-road enhancements. While TrailSport variants on other models brought real hardware upgrades, this CR-V version focuses mostly on appearance.

Off-road design, minimal mechanical changes
The TrailSport Hybrid adds 18-inch wheels wrapped in Continental CrossContact all-terrain tires. However, it lacks any changes to ride height, suspension, skid plates, or ground clearance. A brake-based traction control system helps at low speeds, but it’s standard on all all-wheel-drive CR-Vs, not unique to TrailSport.

Hybrid performance standard in this trim
This trim includes Honda’s hybrid system producing 204 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque—an upgrade over the non-hybrid’s output. All-wheel drive is also standard. The hybrid setup adds torque ideal for mild off-road scenarios.

Distinctive exterior and interior touches
Visual upgrades include black exterior accents, a silver front garnish, and exclusive Ash Green Pearl paint. Inside, orange TrailSport branding appears on headrests, floor mats, and stitching, along with ambient lighting in the same color.

More tech and interior enhancements for 2026
The CR-V TrailSport Hybrid comes with a 10.2-inch digital display, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, moonroof, and an upgraded eight-speaker sound system. All CR-V models now get a 9.0-inch infotainment screen, wireless phone charging, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Sleek look, but not true TrailSport toughness
Despite its bold appearance, the TrailSport Hybrid lacks the real off-road capability found in other TrailSport models, marking a step back for the badge.
