Ferrari has unveiled the 296 Speciale, a sharper, more powerful evolution of the 296 GTB. Designed for ultimate driving engagement, it adds more power and trims weight while retaining the core hybrid V6 setup. Power climbs to 868 hp thanks to turbo boost revisions, lightweight forged pistons, and titanium engine components, including the crankshaft.
Weight is reduced by 60 kg, achieved through optional carbon fiber elements and extensive use of titanium throughout the powertrain and suspension. The coupe variant remains the purist’s choice, while a slightly heavier convertible version is also available.
Aerodynamic improvements include an “aero damper” that channels airflow for better stability, a revised active spoiler with a new mid-downforce setting, and additional vents and aero features across the body. These upgrades raise downforce by 20% and enhance high-speed handling.

Ferrari also introduces a new “Qualify” mode that intelligently manages electric boost out of corners to maximize lap time efficiency. It learns the circuit to distribute up to 15 boost bursts per session, enhancing consistency and acceleration.
Visually, the 296 Speciale gains subtle but purposeful tweaks like a redesigned front and rear, added aero elements, and track-focused styling cues. Ferrari says the car isn’t just about raw speed—it’s about amplifying the five driving sensations: acceleration, shifting, braking, handling, and sound.
Production is time-limited and exclusive to returning Ferrari clients, ensuring rarity without declaring it a limited edition.
