2026 Corolla Cross Debuts With Sharper Hybrid Design

The 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross and Corolla Cross Hybrid are receiving a mild but meaningful refresh aimed at enhancing both style and comfort. The biggest visual difference is between the hybrid and non-hybrid models—hybrids now feature a color-matched grille, revised side openings, and a new grille pattern that gives the front end a more refined appearance.

New color options include Cavalry Blue for select gas and hybrid trims, with SE and XSE Hybrid models also offering a contrasting Jet Black roof. Updated wheels appear across trims, with dark gray and gloss black 18-inch designs standing out.

While the powertrains remain unchanged, fuel efficiency continues to be a highlight. The gas version delivers up to 32 mpg with AWD, while the hybrid achieves 42 mpg combined thanks to its three-motor setup generating 196 hp. However, performance remains modest, with no improvements in acceleration over the 2025 model.

The biggest improvement is the interior. The 2026 Corolla Cross now features an optional 10.5-inch touchscreen, upgraded materials, and a redesigned center console that removes bulky elements and enhances openness. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, with upgraded USB-C port placement and improved climate controls.

Rear passengers benefit from added USB-C ports, and trims like XLE and Hybrid XSE now include standard cold-weather features such as heated seats and steering wheel. A new seat color, Portobello, adds a premium touch.

Built in Alabama, the updated Corolla Cross lineup is expected to hit showrooms later this year, with pricing to be revealed soon.
