For a couple of years now he has been one of the most promising talents in Lebanese karting. His dad a former champion and excellent driver too is taking car of him and his 2 younger brothers and giving them the right guidance in the field. We met patrick Njeim after he won the first race on sunday and the following chat.
Patrick it was a tough race and you had tough competition tell us more.
It took me2 laps to get to first place. It happened in a matter of seconds and I wasn’t really aware of it. I lead from there on to win the race.
Did you expect to be leading in such a short time?
I had a good feeling bout the race and I was hoping to lead but I didn’t expect to do it so fast.
How was the car?
It was fine but after 10 laps it started over heating so I had to adapt to be able to stay in front.
The car following you was catching you on the straights, why is that?
First of all he is always in my wind tunnel and he was fighting hard while I was hitting he wind. Second maybe he was more successful in car setup, but anyways I managed to finish first.
Any last message?
I hope the season continues like this for me and I manage to win after this good start.
