After an average performance in Falougha, Sysley came to Deir El Qamar to win. This time around he was driving the same car that led Joe Ghanem to victory in the last Hill Climb. After winning the event Sysley gave us a small interview.
Your first 2 runs were not as good as the last why was that?
I’m driving a new car and it’s difficult to get used to it directly. I was not comfortable in the EVO 10 in the first couple of runs but I was coming to win so I gave all in to win in the last run. I didn’t come for second or third place so I’m very satisfied.
[singlepic id=3288 w=320 h=240 float=left]What is it precisely that gave this slight edge in the last run?
On this road different errors are possible on different runs. On the first run I used a lot of left foot so I lost time, and in the second run I also did some errors, but on the last run and although I had a small mistake I was able to recover very fast on a corner where I went flat out on 5th gear and clinched the win.
How much did the lack of grip harm you?
There was a lot of lack in grip and the space we had to heat our tyres before we start is very short. Anyway team TG rally skills gave me a good car and there should be a winning car for the team. I should have won for the team and this is what happened. I myself needed the win so all in all I’m very happy.
Are you going to drive the same car in the coming Hill Climb?
I’m not sure, I was more comfortable in the EVO 9, but from now until then we will check were the road is and what are the circumstances and decide.
Can you clinch the title in the last round?
This is my aim from the beginning of this year. I want to win the group N for the sponsors, so next year I would have better packages and better preparations. I don’t like to go any place without planning to win so we have to wait and see. Anyway in the presence of Tony Germany and the team we are ready to win.
