A Nissan GT-R engine powers this Toyota GT86

July 15, 2016 – With 200 horsepower from a four-cylinder engine, the Toyota GT86 isn’t exactly a powerful car, which is why people turbocharge it for more muscle… or give it a Ferrari V8, or maybe a twin-turbo V6 from a Nissan GT-R.

The guys at StreetFX gave this GT86 the heart of an R35 GT-R, a VR38 engine that’s been modified to a capacity of 4.1 liters, instead of the stock 3.8-liter capacity, and the team is targeting an output exceeding 1000 horsepower.

Moreover, modifications weren’t limited to the car’s powertrain: the VR38-powered GT86 has been also fitted with a Rocket Bunny kit that gives it a much meaner look.

You can admire the car in the short clip and bunch of photos right below.
