Abdo Feghali; New competition will help me explore myself more

Abdo Feghali on the new competition, on the amazing crowd and more …

[singlepic id=1925 w=320 h=240 float=left] After yet another win Falougha and in Hill Climbs in general we met Dado ahead of the Podium ceremony and asked about what was a very exciting event. Dado who won by a gap of around 3 seconds, was optimistic that this event builds for new competition in the future. Dado was carrying his son Christopher, who has become used to the first place on the podium lately, in front of huge crowd sat down and gave us this quick chat.

Dado, another dominating win in the Falougha Hill Climb, how did you see the competition in this year’s edition?

Its 7 out of 7 in Falougha so far and it’s amazing. This year’s competition is looking good especially with new rivals preparing good cars, like Ziad Feghali and Mathieu Reboisson. The new competition will show clearly in the coming races, and this will help me explore myself more in order to improve, something I didn’t do earlier due to the lack of competition.

Regarding the other categories we saw a fierce fight in the group N as well as, between the BMWs, and I congratulate my cousin Michel Feghali, and Ziad also came second so it was perfect.

How did you see the spectators on the road?

The spectators were out of this world. I was saying on TV that I preferred to do the first heat and then take it easy, but when I saw the crowd, they pushed me forward a lot so I had to push all the way. All this is to say thank you for all the people and their love to us.

Did you find any difference in the road compared to last year?

Many drivers were complaining about the road being slippery, but I guess it was very good. The guys with the BMWs have over powered their cars so they were suffering from this, but the road was great for me.

The group N category saw the closest competition, what do you say about it?

Well I would like to congratulate Joe Ghanem with this amazing win on his home soil were he drove amazingly. I was really impressed by Joe and Nick Georgiou who was improving with every run, but the big improvement came from Tamer Ghandour who was improving a lot with every run keeping in mind that he is the only with an EVO 9 while the other 2 guys were on EVO 10s. I am sure we will see more competition in the coming races.
