Abdo Feghali won in Falougha this year as it was expected. This time the road was much more slippery and Abdo had a very small mistake on his second run where he made a minor damage on his front bumper. Regardles of the mistake he posted a time of 02:07.45 but on the third run he was much faster and finished on a 02:06.30 record over 3 seconds apart from closest rival Ziad Feghali, his cousin. Abdo had some other challenges too, so read below to find them out.
Abdo shared these ideas with Dany Hanna and here is what he had to say.
“I would like to congratulate my cousin Michel Feghali for winning the BMW category, and its a pity the BMW guys couldn’t make into Heat 3, but bravo to everyone, the championship is on fire just as expected.
My only problem in Falougha was not having my tyres delivered. If you don’t have the right tyres, there’s a problem, but thank God I managed to break last year’s record despite aiming at the track record.
We were surprised by the barriers put up during the race without our knowledge. They should’ve been put during practice so that we get used to them. I damaged my car, but I didn’t lose much time, although I could’ve hurt myself or the spectators close to the barriers. The race and spectators were great, although the track got a little bit worse.”
