January 27, 2016 – Qatar’s Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari will compete in the 2016 Middle East Rally Championship and 2016 World Rally Championship’s WRC 2 class in a brand new white and gold Skoda Fabia R5 that he revealed via his official Instagram account.
Al-Kuwari will be making the switch from the Ford Fiesta RRC that powered him to several victories – the most recent of which was at the 2015 Rally Argentina – during the past three years to a Fabia R5 – a car that recorded 4 wins in its debut season in WRC 2 last year.
Qatar’s Ministry of Youth & Sports and the country’s Social and Sporting Activities Support Fund will support Al-Kuwari in his bid to fight for wins in the two championships this year alongside British co-driver Marshall Clarke.
