Abdulaziz Alkuwari has taken a dominant victory during the fourth national Kuwait Rally which kicked off this morning.
Alkuwari lead right from the start, and managed to extend his lead from Kuwaiti driver Mufeed Mubarak to 2 minutes and 30 seconds halfway into the day; the Qatari driver’s dominant performance continued into the day’s second loop; he went quickest on the final three stages to claim victory by a massive 6 minutes.
Mufeed Mubarak who was running second overall, had his car towed off due to mechanical issues during the very last stage, which handed Ala’a Rasheed – who’s 2 minutes and 20 seconds penalty severely affected him – second place overall.
Alkuwari’s win and Rasheed’s second place gave Motortune a double podium finish this afternoon.
