Abdullah Al-Dossari has added another karting programme in his existing list. The young Saudi racer is pleased to announce that he will compete in the United Arab Emirates-based IAME X30 Challenge Series.
Racing for the ED Racing Team, Abdullah is returning to the championship for a full season after racing in few rounds last year to gain experience. He will race in the Junior category with the aim to secure consistent results all-through the season.
The season is scheduled to take place on the various tracks within the UAE which includes Dubai Kartdrome in Dubai and also the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi – the hosts for Formula One’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
“My intention was to compete in the 30 Challenge Series this year after making my debut last year,” said Abdullah. “The unique thing about the UAE championship is that it has far more competitive drivers and takes place at varied tracks which helps me to learn more.
“I look forward to attaining good results in the races and crucially get more experience from the drivers competing. This championship works well alongside by programme in BKSC which started in Bahrain last weekend.”
Abdullah will head to Ras Al Khaimah next week itself for practice sessions at Ras Al Khaimah Circuit (RAKC) which is aimed towards learning and getting used to the circuit, in preparation for the second round, which will be held at the same venue on Friday, October 26.
The 2018/19 season of the IAME X30 Challenge will include six rounds, which began on September 21 and ends on April 19, 2019. The rounds take place on race circuits in the emirates of Ras Al Khaimah, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi.
