Nasser Al-Attiyah has taken the early Kuwait International Rally lead, the second round of the FIA Middle East Rally Championship, after going quickest on Day 1’s first loop which consisted of three special stages.
Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari and Khalid Al-Qassimi are currently locked in a battle for second place; Al-Kuwari held second position on SS2, 1.4 seconds ahead of his Citroen rival, but the Ford driver dropped to third after losing 4 seconds to Al-Qassimi on SS3.
Saudi driver Yazeed Al-Rajhi enters Day 1’s second loop in fourth place.
