Alfa Romeo claimed the record previously by lapping the Green Hell in 7 minutes 39 seconds, but the Porsche Panamera Turbo dethroned it by going one second quicker. However, the Giulia QV has now managed to set the benchmark once again as it went 6 seconds quicker than the Panamera Turbo.

The new laptime makes the Giulia QV quicker than a Lexus LFA (7:34) and Porsche 911 GT2 (7:34).

The Giulia QV is powered by a turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 engine that produces 510 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque. It can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 307 km/h.
