Jordanian experienced rally driver Ammar Hijazi will be participating in a full MERC program in 2012. Ammar has told Al Ghad newspaper in Jordan that he will be participating on a Ford Fiesta S2000 car prepared by Autoteck the same team Nasser Al Attiyah used for car preparation last year. Ammar will be accompanied by Lebanese Co-Driver Joseph Mattar one of the best in the Middle East. Hijazi will test the car for the first time in the Qatar international Rally on the 22th of January. Ammar also added that he will participate in the local Jordanian Championship this year.
Recently Ammar had a small catheterization, operation but the doctors have confirmed that he will be safe to drive and it would not affect his health.
