Aston Martin Unveils DB12 Goldfinger Edition for 007 Anniversary

Aston Martin celebrates 60 years with James Bond, introducing the limited-edition DB12 Goldfinger, featuring exclusive design touches and luxurious extras.

Aston Martin is honoring its 60-year relationship with the James Bond franchise by unveiling the special-edition DB12 Goldfinger Edition. This iconic partnership dates back to 1964 when Sean Connery first drove the legendary DB5 in Goldfinger. Over the years, while Bond has occasionally driven other cars like the Toyota 2000GT and BMW 750iL, his association with Aston Martin remains unmatched.

To commemorate six decades of collaboration, Aston Martin’s bespoke division, Q, will produce only 60 units of the DB12 Goldfinger Edition. Mechanically, the car shares its core with the 2023 DB12, boasting a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine that delivers 671 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque.

Where the Goldfinger Edition truly shines is in its design details. The car is painted in the same Silver Birch shade as the iconic DB5 from Goldfinger, while 21-inch model-specific wheels, black brake calipers, gold side strakes, and silver Aston Martin badges give the car a modern yet classic Bond aesthetic.

The interior is where Aston Martin’s Q customization expertise comes to life. It features leather sports seats in the fluted style of the DB5, with a Prince of Wales check perforation pattern inspired by Bond’s classic suit. The same pattern extends to the door panels and headliner. Unique touches like an embroidered eight of hearts on the driver’s sun visor and 18-karat gold-plated interior accents further elevate the exclusivity. A polished sill plaque marks the 60th anniversary, and the gear selector is notched to resemble a tracking device—a nod to Bond’s spy gear.

The 60 lucky owners of the DB12 Goldfinger Edition will also receive an array of exclusive gifts. These include a custom car cover, a luxury key box, a Silver Birch model, a 35mm film section from Goldfinger’s Furka Pass scene, and even a limited-edition magazine. To carry these treasures, owners will get a Globe-Trotter attaché case lined with the Prince of Wales check, along with a Globe-Trotter Air Cabin Case for a magnum of 2007 vintage Bollinger Champagne.

Details on how to purchase this exclusive model are yet to be released, but it’s likely that all 60 units have already been spoken for, as is common with limited-edition performance cars. Deliveries of the DB12 Goldfinger Edition are set to begin next spring.
