The second day of official testing was much smoother than Day 1, where all drivers completed their programs with ease and not 1 single unfortunate accident took place. The day started with first time tests for Lebanon’s multiple rally champion Roger Feghali and Gilbert Bannout Eddy Abou Karam, Michel Saleh, Nibal Zahr, Rabih Ayoub, Nassib Nassar and Ziad Feghali. In addition to the drivers mentioned before many other drivers continued their program today after starting yesterday, such as Christian Kurban, Joseph Hindy, Chafic Boulos, Nick Georgueu and Sysley. Most drivers were working on suspension setup and some performance enhancements. The day was clear in Arsoun and it was a perfect day to test the cars to their maximum capability. Unlike yesterday were only 2 teams featured testing their cars, today we saw the presence of MotorTune, TGRS, Kazan Performance and Rayyes Racing.
After the test we met some of the drivers again and took their final impressions:
Chafic Boulos:
“Today is much better than yesterday. Yesterday I was kind of sleeping. We are 95 % ready. We worked on high speed corners and grip so we are looking good and the test was good today.
Eddy Abou Karam:
“We had a totally new car today. Thanks to Tony Germany who was able to finish it in one week. We need some more parts on the car like a rally art Differential and big brakes. It’s my third rally and I’m getting better and gaining more experience, and I hope we have a good run.
Jospeh Mattar:
“Everything was great and we had an amazing day”
Cathy Derousseaux:
“We had very good day and the organization was very good too. The car looked great especially the suspension. I feel confident and I trust Gilbert and I trust Tony Germany too.
Gilbert Bannout:
“It was a great test. It was very well organized. The car is very good and we were very good too. I worked with Cathy on the notes. Thanks to everyone for the day.”
Joseph Hindy:
“This day for me was very good. I learned a lot and especially how to setup the car. I improved 4 seconds on yesterday’s time and I’m seriously happy. I came close to the really fast guys. Thanks for Tony for his great and open support.”
Chadi Beyrouthi:
“We didn’t do the test today. We completed the program yesterday. Nicolas was very comfortable. We had a good feeling in the car. Our pace was good although it was our first time testing in Arsoun.”
Nassib Nassar:
“We completed our program. We got used to the car a little. We are not in to compete with anybody but we will improve stage by stage.”
Rony Maroun:
“The experience for co-drivers is much different than the one for drivers. We are participating to learn more. We hope to finish the rally.”
