Audi officially announced its purchase to one of the world’s most famous bike brands, Ducati.
After many months of speculation, Audi finally confirmed the news today but refused to state how much the purchase had cost them.
“Ducati is known worldwide as a premium brand among motorcycle manufacturers and has a long tradition of building sporty motorcycles. It has great expertise in high-performance engines and lightweight construction, and is one of the world’s most profitable motorcycle manufacturers. That makes Ducati an excellent fit for Audi.” were Audi boss Rupert Stadler comment’s after the announcement.
Ducati is the third Italian brand to be taken over by the Volkswagen Group after Lamborghini and Italdesign.
