July 29, 2017 – Audi’s 2018 RS5 is the latest addition to the German high-performance coupe market, bringing in 450 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque from a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 to the game.
In terms of power, the Audi slots in between its two main German rivals: the BMW M4 Competition Package, which produces 450 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque from a 3.0-liter twin-turbo straight-six, and the Mercedes-AMG C63 S that generates 501 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque from a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8.
Unlike the rear-wheel drive M4 and C63 S, the RS5 sends power to all four wheels, which should give it an advantage in this kind of competition.
