February 24, 2016Bassoul-Heneine sal, BMW Group’s oldest importer in the world, ended 2015 with an impressive 42% sales increase compared to the previous year, delivering 959 BMW and MINI vehicles to their customers, representing the biggest individual market growth for the region.

Nagy Heneine, General Manager for Commercial Affairs at Bassoul-Heneine sal and son of founder Pierrot Heneine, said: “It has been a fitting way to end the year that we celebrated six decades of partnership with the BMW Group. In our 60 years we have experienced many memorable milestones, continually achieving our aim to offer our customers the best in class vehicles that are both premium and beautifully engineered, along with unparalleled customer service throughout the ownership lifecycle, and we are looking forward to replicate this in 2016.”

BMW X5

The BMW X family accounted for 50% of Bassoul Heneine sal‘s total sales, including the X6, X5, X4, X3 and the newly launched X1, continued to be popular amongst Lebanese audiences with over 428 units sold in 2015. The X family has been a driving force behind BMW becoming one of the world’s most successful producers of premium four-wheel drive automobiles; to date, more than 3.9 million BMW X models have been sold worldwide, and almost every third newly registered vehicle of the brand is now a BMW X model.

Bassoul Heneine sal’s success in 2015 also came from Lebanon’s growing love for the British icon MINI, winning over more customers with an increase in MINI Countryman sales seeing a growth of 56%, while the MINI 3 and 5 door Hatch increased by an impressive 38% in comparison to 2014.

MINI Hatch

“Our MINI customers showed once again their appreciation for the fun driving models, with double digit growth for a number of models, we continue to expand the brand in Lebanon, and the main factor of this success is our loyal customers, who we will continue to look at new and engaging ways to deliver new driving experiences too. With new MINI models set to come to Lebanon we are sure 2016 will be a successful year.”
