Bentley have taken the covers off their new performance flagship, the Continental GT Speed, which will make its first public appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2012.
The new Continental GT Speed coupe features a host of mechanical and to a much lesser extent, styling upgrades, the most important of which are hidden under the hood.
Considered the marque’s fastest production model ever, the 2.5-tonne luxury car packs a 6.0-liter 48-valve, four-cam, twin turbocharged W12 engine developing 616 bhp and 800 Nm of torque.
Power is transferred to the rear wheels through a revised ZF eight-speed automatic transmission, which can get the car from 0 to 100km/h in 4 seconds, in addition to a 329km/h top speed.
Other highlights include uprated steering and suspension systems, a lowered ride height, unique 21-inch Speed wheels, Speed grille as well as many other signature Speed design cues.
