July 17, 2016 – Roger Feghali remained unchallenged in the Lebanese Hill Climb Championship this year as he clinched his second consecutive win of the season today in Bkassine Hill Climb.
There were plenty of delays, with oil spills and an accident for Jawad Slim towards the end of the second heat forcing the organizers to cancel the third and final heat, which handed Feghali (Evo VI) the victory, having completed only the first heat in 2 minutes 17.94 seconds.
In spite of his crash, of which he escaped with no injuries, Jawad Slim (Evo X) managed to finish second overall, followed by Michel Slaiby (Evo VIII) in third place overall.
Rodolphe Asmar (Evo X) triumphed in Group N; he was followed by Eddy Abou Karam (Evo X) in 2nd place and Nadim Halabi (Evo IX) in 3rd place.
Garo Haroutiounian won the rear-wheel drive category in his BMW E46; Michel Zgheib (BMW E30) was second fastest, followed by Paul Kossaifi (BMW E46) as the third quickest.
Patrick Njeim secured victory in both RC4 class and front-wheel drive class, as Bassel Abu Hamdan won the RC3 class and finished 2nd in the front-wheel drive category, followed by Rony Kanaan – 3rd in FWD and 2nd in RC3.
Gerges Dargham (BMW E30) won the SM4 category, while the SM3 class victory went to Richard Ibrahim (Renault Clio Williams). Hani Raad took home the SM6 category cup and Lara Helou the Ladies Cup.
