January 29, 2016 – The BMW 1 Series Sedan has been recently spied testing under camouflage as the car’s production draws near.
Judging by the photographs, the 1 Series Sedan’s design is heavily influenced by the BMW Concept Compact Sedan which was unveiled at the Guangzhou Motor Show in China last year.
BMW enthusiasts will be sad to know that the 1 Series Sedan, unlike the rear-wheel drive hatchback, will have a front-wheel drive layout, and it will rival the Mercedes-Benz CLA and Audi A3 Sedan.
The small sedan is expected to offer a range of turbocharged three-cylinder and four-cylinder engines and optional all-wheel drive.
