BMW’s Motorsport division celebrated their 40th anniversary by holding a special event during Germany’s largest classic car race, known as the AvD Oldtimer Gran Prix, at the Nürburgring.
Almost 60,000 people attended the event and watched the M anniversary race which featured some of the company’s most famous Motorsport models including two M1 Group 4 racers, a 320 Group 5 car, a 1987 M3 Group A and a 1995 320i STW.
Visitors also enjoyed 10-minute demonstration drives of several M models before the race had started.
