January 16, 2015 – BMW’s upcoming 2 Series-based M weapon, the M2 Coupe, has been spied winter testing in Sweden.
In order to differentiate itself from standard 2 Series models and the M235i, the BMW M2 will feature aggressively styled front and rear bumpers, flared fenders and a sculpted hood, in addition to standard 19-inch M wheels – as seen in the images below.
Under the hood, the all-new BMW M2 will hide a twin-turbocharged 3.0 liter engine with more than 350 horsepower. The unit will be mated to a manual transmission or an optional dual-clutch DCT transmission.
BMW is expected to reveal the M2 Coupe at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show in September, and then start production in November, before deliveries begin in 2016.
