BMW M3 CS Touring Sets Nürburgring Estate Record

The BMW M3 CS Touring has officially become the fastest estate car to lap the Nürburgring, setting a time of 7 minutes and 29.490 seconds. This beats the previous record set by the standard M3 Touring, making BMW’s newest high-performance wagon the quickest of its kind around the iconic track.

Previously, the non-CS M3 Touring clocked a 7m 35s time in 2022. Earlier this year, BMW test driver Jorg Weidinger improved that to 7m 30s. Now, the CS version has gone even faster, showcasing just how much potential this model holds.

According to BMW M boss Frank van Meel, the M3 CS Touring was engineered from the outset to raise the bar in performance while remaining practical for daily use. Though slightly behind the M4 CSL and M4 CS, the new CS Touring is only one second slower than the four-door M3 CS sedan.

Powered by a 542bhp 3.0-litre engine, it delivers thrilling acceleration and handling. Key upgrades include lighter weight, a tuned chassis, performance brakes, and distinctive styling enhancements. BMW positions it as the ultimate one-car solution for those wanting both track-ready performance and everyday versatility in one powerful package.
